Move-Out & Move-In Cleaning in metro Atlanta

A move-out clean has an audience. A landlord with a checklist, a buyer walking through, or an agent deciding whether to mention it. That makes it the one clean where the standard is not how it looks to you, and it is worth buying the right scope rather than the cheaper one.

What it costs

$440 to $605typically $515

That is the middle half of the move cleans we completed over the last 18 months. It runs above a deep clean because an empty house exposes everything at once, including years of what was behind and underneath things.

Why it costs more than a deep clean

Because the house is empty, and an empty house has nowhere to hide. The floor under a wardrobe that has not moved in six years, the wall behind a fridge, the inside of every cupboard and closet at once.

It also carries interiors that a deep clean might only partly touch: every cabinet and drawer, every appliance, every closet shelf, and the tracks of every sliding door and window.

Sequencing it with the move

Book the clean after the last item is out, not before. A morning clean followed by an afternoon of movers carrying furniture across the floors is the most common way people pay for a move-out clean twice.

Leave a day of slack where you can. Closing dates and truck arrivals slip constantly, and a booking with no margin turns a two hour delay into a cancelled slot. Month end is the tightest part of the calendar because leases and closings cluster there, so a week of notice is worth more then than at any other time.

If a deposit depends on it

Say so when you book. It changes what gets prioritised, and it means we treat the property inspection standard as the bar rather than a general sense of clean.

If your landlord or agent has given you a checklist, send it. Working to their list is far more reliable than working to ours and hoping the two overlap.

Move-in is a different job

Cleaning a home you are moving into is about the previous occupant rather than about you, and it is worth doing in the gap between getting keys and unloading the truck. That is the only time the house will ever be empty and reachable.

Priorities are different too: cabinet and closet interiors before you fill them, bathrooms, appliance interiors, and the floor edges that furniture is about to cover for years.
